Following on the success of last year's UKBJJA University BJJ League, we are excited to announce that the event is back!

11 March 2017 will see the second national University Brazilian Jiu Jitsu League come to Nottingham.

Competitors from universities across the country will compete in gi and no-gi divisions to decide the best university grappler in the country. Last year saw over 90 competitors from 15 universities take part and the organisers are planning for a much bigger and even better event this year.

The tournament is open to all university students and staff. UKBJJA membership is required.

It will follow a repechage format, meaning every competitor is guaranteed at leas two fights and there will be prizes on offer from the tournament sponsors.

Where: University of Nottingham Sports Centre (University Park Campus)

Type: Gi and No-Gi

Weight classes: Male: u62, u69, u77, u85, u94, +94

Female: u62, u70, +70

Divisions: Gi: White / Blue / Advanced (Purple and above)

No-Gi: Beginner (Under 2 years’ experience) /
Intermediate (Under 3 years’ experience or BJJ Blue Belt) / Advanced (Over 3 years’ experience or BJJ Purple/Brown/Black Belt)

Cost: £20 for one, or £30 for both
