​The UKBJJA is delighted to present the 2019 UKBJJA International Open Tournament of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), held on 6 October 2019 at the National Indoor Athletics Centre in Cardiff, Wales. The event is one of the most prestigious and lucrative BJJ tournaments in the UK, with a prize fund totalling £20k.

Ffion Eira Davies from Swansea has made it a double world championship year by winning the World IBJJF No Gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) Championship on December 16, 2018 in Anaheim, California. She becomes the first adult Black Belt No Gi World Champion.

An athlete from Swansea has become the first ever Welsh competitor to win a world championship in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ). Ffion Eira Davies, who trains at CF24 Jiu Jitsu in Cardiff, flew out to Long Beach, California last weekend to compete in the World IBJJF Jiu Jitsu Championship, the largest and most prestigious BJJ competition in the world. It was held from 31 May to 3 June, 2018.

On November 1st, Pedro Besa BJJ Rhondda hosted a very special visitor for a seminar in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Fernando Augusto “Tererê” is a 7 time world champion in the sport and a legend in his home country of Brazil. He was in Wales to deliver a seminar and raise money for the Tererê Kids’ Project – a charity set up to help poor kids in the Favelas of Rio de Janeiro via the sport of BJJ.

Final of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Kids’ League comes to Cardiff, 13 November 2016

The final of Wales’s largest kids’ martial arts league will be held at the Western Leisure Centre in Cardiff on 13 November 2016. Well over 120 junior athletes are expected to compete in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) at the Welsh Kids’ BJJ League, which runs alongside the Celtic BJJ Open tournament for adults.

The last Welsh Kids BJJ League of 2015 will be held on Sunday 8th November in Cardiff. All events are x1 UKBJJA ranked competitions. At this final event of 2015, the organisers will be announcing the first ever Welsh youth BJJ champions (under 40kg and over 40kg champions). The winners gain free entry to every Welsh kids league event of 2016, plus a special prize from sponsors Tatami Fightwear.
