The United Kingdom Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Association has announced that this year's nominated charity for the UKBJJA International Open Tournament is Tŷ Hafan, a leading Welsh children’s charity which provides comfort, care and support to children with life-limiting conditions, along with their families. The UKBJJA International Open Tournament takes place on 6 October 2019 in Cardiff.

Ffion Eira Davies from Swansea has made it a double world championship year by winning the World IBJJF No Gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) Championship on December 16, 2018 in Anaheim, California. She becomes the first adult Black Belt No Gi World Champion.

An athlete from Swansea has become the first ever Welsh competitor to win a world championship in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ). Ffion Eira Davies, who trains at CF24 Jiu Jitsu in Cardiff, flew out to Long Beach, California last weekend to compete in the World IBJJF Jiu Jitsu Championship, the largest and most prestigious BJJ competition in the world. It was held from 31 May to 3 June, 2018.

The final of Wales’s largest kids’ martial arts league will be held at the Western Leisure Centre in Cardiff on 13 November 2016. Well over 120 junior athletes are expected to compete in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) at the Welsh Kids’ BJJ League, which runs alongside the Celtic BJJ Open tournament for adults.

The amazing Welsh Kids and Juniors BJJ League returns on Sunday February 7th. It is part of the Kids and Junior League competitions held across the UK under the auspices of the UKBJJA. The competitions create a springboard for Juniors and Juveniles to compete regularly to prepare for bigger competitions, allowing them to enter tournament with a relaxed and friendly environment.
